Why Take Potato Juice
Why can potato juice be used as a remedy for many health problems.
Well, potato juice has been reported to improve the function of the digestive system. Potato juice if consumed prior to breakfast, can alleviate constipation and heartburn. In addition, potato juice if diluted with warm water and consumed prior to breakfast can also alleviate peptic ulcers and reduce the excess uric acid from the body which is the cause of gout and rheumatism. Thus, as you can see, potato juice can be good for you. However, please be aware that it has a really "bad" taste and should be combined with either lemon or carrot juice.
Although not proven, some people have reported the use of potato juice in the treatment of cancer.
As I mentioned before, potato juice is often not very palatable to drink and it is usually combined with carrot, tea or lemon juice. Potato juice is recommended in the some of the following conditions:
1) Skin problems like eczema
2) Arthritis, rheumatism, gout, lumbago, etc. Potato juice has anti-inflammatory actions and reduces excessive deposition of uric acid in the joints. In these cases, it could be taken with an infusion made from herbs like, Sage, Nettle, Garlic, Agrimony Catnip, etc.
3) Potato juice when taken alone or in combination with carrot or lemon juice assists in healing intestinal or peptic ulcer and gastritis. The teas made from Sage, Nettle, Mistletoe, Fleabane, Chickweed would help the digestive system also. In addition, you might also try a teaspoonful of ground cayenne pepper by sprinkling it on each meal before eating. The initial burning sensation of the ground cayenne perrer will disappear with subsequent intakes of the pepper.
4) Potato juice when mixed with carrot and pure honey will also disinfect the bowels in case of any food poisoning and this also stops diarrhea just as quickly
