Curing constipation by using natural remedies.
Constipation is a condition where the bowels openly occasionally or incompletely. Often people suffering from constipation will pass infrequent, hard dry stools and the main symptom is that they have a desire to void the stools but cannot do so. This is an extremely irritating condition but can be easy to deal with if treated in the right way.
If you want to use a natural cure for constipation you need to do a number of things relating to how you live your life and what your diet consists of. But unlike medicinal treatments and other treatment methods a natural cure is both a simple and easy to practice and have far less side effects than the others. Often natural cures are able to eliminate completely infrequent or mild bouts of constipation.
Changes in your diet which a person suffering from constipation should make include eating more fiber which is found in fresh fruit (bananas, apples, papaya, grapes and oranges), fresh vegetables, whole grains and pulses. You should also drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water each day.
Don't forget to include fruit in your diet and eat reasonable amounts of them. I know that many people do not like fruits. However, fruits are very healthy and you should include fruit as part of your morning and evening meals.
When looking to treat constipation you should start in your kitchen and not the bathroom. It has been shown that eating wheat flour which has not been sieved (umilled or unpolished rice is also good)can also elimate infrequent or mild bouts of constipation.
In addition, food that you eat should contain 2 parts fruit and vegetables along with 1 part cereals which have then been soaked in warm (not boiling milk). This not only provides you with the roughage you need, but also helps the atonic muscles void any waste matter.
If you're suffering from chronic constipation then it is important that you have more cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, spinach and cabbage in your diet. Remember, you need to increase your fiber intake!
A good thing that you should avoid if you are suffering from constipation is alcohol, processed and junk goods, foods and drinks which contain caffeine as they can cause dehydration and avoid drugs and medication if you can.
Guava because of their roughness is a great way of getting relief from constipation. Also eating bran cereal not just for adults but for children as well is another way of safeguarding against constipation. A more natural way for the elderly to deal with constipation is to drink milk that has either extra sugar or honey in it.
A great natural way of helping to prevent and alleviate constipation is to exercise daily. You only need to do is walk for about 30 to 40 minutes each day.
Today there are many kinds of natural laxatives available in the markets which will help cure constipation and they are made to relax the bowel muscle walls and reduce any anxiety or tension that a person feels. They are also good for enhancing the functions of a person’s liver and gall bladder and improve the flow of bile in the body which improves the digestion of food.
For many centuries herbs were used by tribes and some cultures around the world and are becoming more and more popular as a natural way of treating constipation. Herbs such as Aloe Vera, Dandelion (Taraxacum Officinale) and the Passiflora Species all have laxative properties and also help the digestive system as well as acting as a tonic for a person’s liver. These herbs can often be used in treating both chronic and occasional bouts of constipation and almost all of them have no side effects associated with them, unlike many drugs.
Today, you can buy these herbs in tablet form. Also most of these tablets can be used alongside a digestion tonic as well.
So as you can see there are a number of natural cures for constipation and hopefully, you'll find the right one for you!
