Helpful Hints To Mend Your Memory
By: Richard Bleuze
Once upon a time you could remember birthdays, phone numbers, etc.
Now, you're lucky if you can remember what you ate for breakfast. If you're lossing your memory, try these helpful tips:
1. Aim for more antioxidants such as using vitamin A, C and E. Vitamin A can be found in carrots, apricots, tomatoes, broccoli, cantaloupe, and sweet potatoes. Vitamin C can be found in oranges, grapefruit, broccoli, cantaloupe and strawberries. Lastly, vitamin E can be found in wheat germ, nuts, and vegetable oils.
2. Use various herbs such as ginkgo and ginseng which both boost memory and concentration.
3. Give your mind a workout by solving crossword puzzles and reading books.
4. Drink plenty of water. Dehydration causes confusion, disorientation and other problems.
5. Use vitamins found in the B family such as B6, B12, folate, and thiamin. You can boost your B intake by eating spinach, beets, asparagus, low fat cheese, fish, poultry, potatoes and watermelon.
6. Stop smoking.
7..Reduce alcoholic intake (no more than 2 drinks per day).
8. Get plenty of quality sleep.
9. Eat breakfast.
10. Your medications could be a side effect of your memory loss.
11. Use olive oils.
12. Poor memory could be a sign of iron deficiency.
Finally, people in past centuries thought that rosemary would help keep their memories clear. Thus, if you're feeling confused or lossing your memory, why not add this tasty herb to your menu!
